Kate is one......

Ok, So I am a little late. Her birthday was actually 10 days ago now. Kate is 1 year old. I can't believe it. I can't believe how fast the year has gone, and I can't believe how unbelievably excited I am that she is getting older. Everyday brings something new. She is babbling more, and rolling around (finally) and so interested in the world around her. I just love the way that she points at things, and watches the world around her.

We had Kate's one year appointment at the doctor. We found out two things about Kate that are kind of sad and a couple of things that are really great. The things that are great is that she is growing well and she her verbal skills are right on track. She is talking and talking all of the time. The sad things are that she has chronic sinusitis. She has basically been battling a sinus infection for months. Which might explain why she hasn't been in the best mood. She is on her 3rd round of antibiotics. Hopefully this will do the trick! The other thing is that she is a little bit behind on her motor development. She doesn't really move. She has started to roll to get things but she doesn't crawl and she certainly doesn't walk. So we will start her in physical therapy on Monday! Hopefully she will be walking by this summer.......

Going to the circus!

Today we are going to the circus! Aunt Tonya gave us tickets because her dad is a Shriner. It is so hard to know how Kate will react, but hopefully she will have fun.
Sunday is our family day. Jason and I work our schedules so that we can be home with Kate as much as possible during the week. That means that I work evenings and every Saturday. It is very important that we spend Sunday together since that is really the only day we have together as a family. Some things that we love to do on Sunday include reading the paper, going out for breakfast or lunch, going for walks, going to the zoo, and just lounging around the house. Every Sunday night we go to Grammy and Grampy's house for dinner. We love this tradition and hope that it continues!
